In this blog we aim to answer some of the most burning questions you have about your Internet speed.

First off, Xplore customers can easily find out what speeds they subscribe to by logging in to their MyXplore account at any time.

Your Internet speed needs will vary depending on the number of connected devices in your household, and people using them, as well as the type of activities you use your Internet for.

For instance, to stream on one device in full HD on Netflix, you would need 5 Mbps download speeds. If you’ve got 3 people in your household streaming on 3 separate devices, you’re now looking at 15 Mbps.

In their recent article, What is a Good Internet Speed in Canada WhistleOut said, “According to the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), "good internet speed" is any broadband connection that can download at least 50 megabits per second (Mbps).”

Download speed refers to how quickly data can travel from Xploret’s or another Internet service provider’s network to your home.

Xplore is upgrading and building new towers all the time and now offers download speeds up to 50 Mbps with unlimited usage.

Here is the approximate amount of speed you’d need to do each Internet-connected activity.
