Xplore Fibre Now Available in Sauble Beach

Markham, ON – Xplore, Canada’s fibre and 5G broadband company for rural living, today announced that nearly 1,500 homes and businesses in Sauble Beach can now connect to gigabit speeds on a next-generation fibre-to-the-premise network.

Xplore received support for this project from Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT), a broadband expansion project designed to improve internet connectivity in underserved communities and rural areas across Southwestern Ontario.

“Today’s exciting announcement benefiting residents, businesses and tourists in Bruce County is an important addition to our fibre network expansion plans already underway across Ontario,” said Allison Lenehan, President and CEO, Xplore Inc. “Access to gigabit-speed fibre Internet will enable residents to more fully enjoy rural living and provide local businesses with an enhanced opportunity to participate in the digital economy.”

Xplore is also working in coordination with SWIFT on other projects to connect nearly 5,500 additional premises across Bruce, Brant, Grey and Middlesex counties to fibre Internet. All of Xplore’s fibre areas will offer a variety of package speeds at competitive prices, including up to 1 Gbps service with unlimited data.

As part of Xplore’s relentless pursuit of an improved broadband experience for the better everyday living of rural Canadians, the company is investing $500 million by 2025 to deploy state-of-the-art scalable fibre Internet and fibre-powered 5G fixed wireless technology that will give rural Canadians access to faster speeds and unlimited data.
