Xplore shines in customer service while competitors see rise in customer complaints

Markham, ON – May 8, 2025 – Xplore Inc., the leading provider of Internet services to Canadians in rural communities, has further improved on its status as a top performer in delivering a positive customer experience, according to the mid-year report from the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS).

Although the total number of complaints submitted against all telecommunications providers rose by 12 per cent, Xplore saw a 10 per cent decline in complaints. Overall, Xplore accounted for just 0.2% of all accepted complaints, down from 0.3% in 2023-24 and 0.8% in 2022-23.

The CCTS report – which covers the period from Aug. 1, 2024, to Jan. 31, 2025 – details consumer complaint data, trends, and emerging issues within Canada’s telecommunications and TV industries.

Xplore recently announced more than C$1.6 billion of new funding in support of Xplore’s continued fibre-to-the-home network roll-out, which will bring multi-gigabit speeds to more than 400,000 homes in rural Canada by 2027. The funding will also enable Xplore to continue upgrading its 5G fixed wireless services, delivering speeds up to 500 MBPS to over 1.5 million homes across Canada.
