For satellite equipment that is owned by the customer, it includes a one-year warranty on parts and labour from the date of activation. Extended warranty customers are covered for the duration of their contract. Excluding cables, computer problems, and any damages cause to the hardware other than equipment failure.
This warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including accident, vandalism, act-of-God, abuse, misuse, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by Xplore, usage not in accordance with product instructions, failure to perform required preventive maintenance, and problems caused by use of parts and components not supplied by Xplore. Any unauthorized opening of the equipment enclosure(s) will void this warranty in its entirety as it pertains to that item. This warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories: software; sound cards; speakers; external devices or accessories or parts added to an Xplore system.
Xplore Xtra Care is an optional program that provides extended coverage for the cost of labour in the event of a service issue at participating customers’ locations.
By signing up for Xplore Xtra Care, you will receive an extended coverage period on labour for an initial additional period of 12 months (the “Initial Xtra Care Period”), subject to all limitations and exceptions listed in Xplore’s warranty terms (including but not limited to the limitations and exception in the Section entitled Warranty (All Products)).
The entire fee (excluding any applicable discounts) for the Initial Xtra Care Period is payable immediately on commencement of such coverage period (but may be invoiced monthly) and is non-refundable. At the end of a customer’s Initial Xtra Care Period, the customer’s participation in the Xplore Xtra Care program will be automatically renewed for successive 1 month periods and Xplore will continue to provide the Xplore Xtra Care coverage to such customer during such additional 1 month period at the Xplore Xtra Care terms applicable to new enrollees at such time and at a monthly fee equal to 1/12 of the annual fee then applicable for the Initial Xtra Care Period for new Program enrollees at such time, until terminated in accordance with Section 23 (Termination) of our End User Agreement.
