Xplore 100% Pure Fibre

Fibre internet uses fibre-optic cables to transmit data as pulses of light. These cables are made of thin strands of glass or plastic, which allow data to travel at incredibly high speeds. Unlike traditional copper cables, fibre-optic cables can carry much more data over longer distances without degradation, providing faster and more reliable internet connections. Xplore uses 100% Pure Fibre, meaning all the line up to your door is fibre optics. This allows faster, more reliable and dedicated speeds not affected by loads in the neighborhood.

To check if fibre internet is available in your area, you can use the Xplore address lookup tool. Simply enter your address, and the tool will inform you if fibre service is available, giving you an address-level fibre internet availability check.

Fibre internet offers several advantages over other types of internet:

• Speed: Fibre internet can provide Gigabit speeds, significantly faster than DSL or cable.
• Reliability: Fibre is less susceptible to interference and weather conditions, making it more reliable.
• Symmetrical Speeds: Fibre offers equal upload and download speeds, which is beneficial for activities like video conferencing and uploading large files.
• Low Latency: Fibre has lower latency, which is crucial for online gaming and real-time applications.

Xplore uses 100% pure fibre Internet, maximizing all the above benefits.

Fibre internet is the fastest Internet technology in the world.
Plans will be different depending on your area. For now in most areas Xplore can offer gigabit fibre internet plans with speeds up to 1 Gbps (1,000 Mbps) for both download and upload.

The main challenge is not many operators invest Fibre in rural areas. Density is low, it's too far and more difficult and expensive than offering service to urban homes.

Xplore's mission is to bring these advanced technologies to rural & small-town Canada - areas we have been serving for 20 years. We are investing billions of dollars in expanding our 100% pure fibre network in more rural and small towns every day, increasing fibre internet coverage in rural areas.

The installation of fibre internet in rural areas involves several key steps:

Running the Fibre-Optic Cable: A fibre-optic cable is extended from the main fibre line to your home. Depending on the location, this cable can either be strung along existing power lines or buried underground.

Providing Necessary Equipment: Xplore supplies all the essential equipment, including the router, to ensure you receive blazing-fast internet speeds.

Professional Installation: Once the fibre-optic line reaches your home, Xplore's professional installation team will connect and activate the service, ensuring everything is set up and functioning correctly.
