What to have ready:

Before you begin, ensure that you have the following items ready:

  • Email username (your full email address) and password

Add a new email account

  1. Open the Email app
  2. If it doesn’t go to the “Set up account” screen
    1. Tap the three horizontal bars on the left to bring up the list of email accounts
    2. Tap the gear icon to open the Email Settings page
    3. Tap + Add account
  3. Tap Add New Account at the bottom
  4. Enter your full Email address and email Password, then tap Sign In
  5. Tap the three horizontal bars on the left to bring up the list of email accounts
  6. Tap the gear icon to open the Email Settings page
  7. Tap your email account
  8. Edit Your name if desired
  9. Scroll down to Advanced Settings at the bottom and tap Server settings
  10. Scroll down to Incoming Server.
    1. Verify that the IMAP server is imap.xplore.net
    2. For Security type, tap the down arrow/triangle and select SSL
    3. Verify that the Port is now 993
  11. Scroll down to Outgoing Server.
    1. Verify that the SMTP server is smtp.xplore.net
    2. For Security type, tap the down arrow/triangle and select SSL.
    3. Verify that the Port is now 465
    4. Tap Done
  12. Tap the left arrow < at the top next to your email address
  13. Tap the left arrow < at the top next to Email Settings

Changing your Email Password

If you changed your email password in webmail or MyXplore, you will need to change it in the Email app to match the new password.

  1. Open the Email app
  2. Tap the three horizontal bars on the left to bring up the list of email accounts
  3. Tap the gear icon to open the Email Settings page
  4. Tap your email account
  5. Scroll down to Advanced Settings at the bottom and tap Server settings
  6. Enter your new email Password
  7. Scroll down to Outgoing Server and enter your new email Password there too
    1. Tap Done
  8. Tap the left arrow < at the top next to your email address
  9. Tap the left arrow < at the top next to Email Settings

  1. Open the Email app
  2. You may get error messages like “Unable to sign in to account”
  3. If so, tap Cancel
  4. Tap the three horizontal bars on the left to bring up the list of email accounts
  5. Tap the gear icon to open the Email Settings page
  6. Tap your email account
  7. Scroll down to Advanced Settings at the bottom and tap Server settings
  8. Verify that your Username is your full email address, including the portion after the @ symbol
    1. If not, you will need to Tap the left arrow < at the top next to Server Settings remove this account from your device by tapping “Delete account” and add it again as a new account (see “Add a new email account” on our website)
  9. Password: enter your email password
  10. Scroll down to Incoming Server (if necessary), verify the following settings, and change them if necessary:
    1. If it says IMAP Server:
      1. imap.xplore.net
      2. Security type: SSL
      3. Port: 993
    2. If it says POP3 Server:
      1. pop.xplore.net
      2. Security type: SSL
      3. Port: 995
  11. Scroll down to Outgoing Server (if necessary), verify the following settings, and change them if necessary:
    1. SMTP server: smtp.xplore.net
    2. Security type: SSL
    3. Port: 465
    4. Username: your full email address, including the portion after the @ symbol
    5. Password: enter your email password
    6. Tap Done
  12. Tap the left arrow < at the top next to your email address
  13. Tap the left arrow < at the top next to Email Settings
