All of your online activity using a desktop, laptop, smartphone, tablet or other device connected to your Xplore system uses data: sending emails, streaming videos, downloading music or movies, and browsing websites all contribute to your monthly data usage calculation.
Each Xplore package has data included, and many of our packages have options for getting more data quickly and easily if you ever need it.
Data can be measured in bits and in bytes. Though they sound the same, they’re used to describe both Internet speed and data, and there’s quite the difference between the two. Take a look at this blog post – Bits vs. Bytes: What’s the difference and why does it matter? – for more details and examples to help you better understand how data and speed is measured.
On our network – like any network – the available data has to be shared by all the users. To help ensure that our customers have equitable access to the network, and to make sure that the costs of data are equitably distributed, Xplore has implemented a number of policies to manage data usage on our network.

You will only be billed for data if you’re on a plan that includes a monthly data allowance and your monthly data usage exceeds that allowance. Visit MyXplore and click on the link for the Usage Tracker to see your package details.
If you are on a plan that includes a monthly data allowance and your data usage exceeds the monthly allowance, you’ll be billed for your incremental data usage on the same day you’re billed for your monthly service fee.
Not sure if you’re getting close to your data allowance limit? Using our Usage Tracker in MyXplore will help you stay on top of your daily and monthly data usage.
