Contest Rules

  1. How to Enter the Contest

    No purchase is necessary to enter. To enter the FASTER INTERNET MORE ENTERTAINMENT contest (the “Contest”), you will be required to fully complete and submit the online survey and contest entry form located at https://xplornet.typeform.com/faster-internet, after 11 AM EST on December 9, 2021 but no later than 11 AM EST on February 9, 2022 (the “Contest Closing Time”). Limit of one entry per person permitted during the Contest. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means including use of any automated system to participate, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Contest rules and regulations (“Rules”) may be disqualified. All entry forms submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

  2. Eligibility

    The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of Xplornet Communications Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and its affiliates, distributors, dealers, marketing representatives, printers, advertising or promotional agencies, or any other organization associated with the Contest are not eligible to participate.

  3. Prize

    One grand prize (the “Prize”) is to be awarded consisting of a 55 inch smart TVand home theatre system. The approximate retail value of the Prize $1,815.98 CAD). The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize in whole or in part for a prize of equal or greater value in the event that any component of the Prize is unavailable for any reason. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitutions, except as identified above, will be made. The Prize may not be sold, transferred or assigned and is not convertible to cash. The Prize will be shipped to the winner’s address or an alternative location arranged by the Sponsor with the winner.

  4. The Draw

    The winner of the Contest will be selected in a random draw conducted by the Sponsor of all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Time. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The random drawing will take place at 11:30 AM EST on February 9, 2022. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the selected entrant within 7 days of the draw. In order to be declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer unaided a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and, within the time stipulated by the Sponsor complete and return to the Sponsor a contest eligibility and liability/publicity release confirming compliance with these Rules, releasing the Sponsor and its directors, officers and agents from all liability and, except where prohibited by law, permitting the Sponsor to publish, reproduce and/or use the selected entrant’s name, address (city and province), photography or other likeness, without compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor. Selected entrant must also provide proof of identity upon request. In the event that the selected entrant is not eligible for any reason, has not correctly answered the skill-testing question and returned the release form, or cannot be contacted within 7 days of the draw, such entrant shall be disqualified and the Sponsor shall have the right to select another entrant and the Sponsor shall be released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. No correspondence will be made except with the selected entrant.

  5. General

    By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Rules, and further agree that the decisions of the Sponsor are final. The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to the approval of the Régie des Alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, at any time without prior notice to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering or disrupting the online entry process or the operation of the Contest or acting in violation of these Rules. The Sponsor does not assume any responsibility for any lost, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entry information howsoever caused. The Sponsor is not liable for injuries, death, damages or losses of any kind resulting from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of the Prize. In the event of a dispute, entries submitted online will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

  6. Privacy and Personal Information

    By entering the Contest each entrant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Sponsor for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling the Contest. Any personal information will be handled in accordance with the privacy policy of the Sponsor which is located at http://www.xplornet.com/legal/xplornet-privacy-policy/). Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Sponsor should be addressed to Xplornet Communications Inc. at 625 Cochrane Drive, Suite 1000, Markham, Ontario, L3R 9R9.

  7. Publicity of Winner’s Name

    The name of the Prize winner may be posted online or otherwise beginning on the first business day after the winner has been contacted and has returned a fully completed contest elibility and liability/publicity release to the Sponsor as set out above.

  8. Subject to Applicable Laws

    This Contest is governed by the laws of Canada, is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. For Québec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des Alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
